General educational information, not legal or financial advice. We cannot accept your fraud report, contact your bank for you, or promise recovery.

Steps to take

  1. If you paid or shared financial details, contact your bank, card issuer, or payment provider immediately using a number from its official site or your statement.
  2. Write down the date, amount, payment method, website or phone number, and what the person claimed. Save receipts and relevant messages.
  3. Open ReportFraud.ftc.gov directly and select the category that best fits your experience. Submit the report through the FTC portal, not through Zenovat.
  4. Keep your report information and follow any direct instructions from your financial institution. Reporting helps authorities identify patterns; it does not guarantee recovery.

Information to prepare

  • Timeline and approximate amounts
  • Merchant or sender names and contact details
  • Transaction references and relevant messages
